@07:23am today... I had my āBirthday Twinā aka the fab and beautiful Dion inform me of this sad news! Her brother Dennis had passed away... I jumped out in shock - having only left a message on her FB Page last night, telling her all would be fine. š³
But the truth is;
āWhen #god is ready for you... there aināt no prayer or anything that can stop you from leaving this worldāĀ š! #RealTalk
Dennis was someone I saw a family and who I referred to as āuncleā back in myĀ Teens/Early 20ās (late 9Ts - 2001/2) š a humble man, who loved music and DJāing... that is/was how I remember him!
I amĀ so glad...Ā that I have these x2 photos from back in 2001 @ my baby brothers christening and from his wedding š© day!
My heart goes out to all the family, friends, associates and anyone else that knows/knew him - And to my girl Dion... God has got u babe and your precious son Nathan (Iām sure) will look after him from above. Amen š

I personal didnāt know anyone who lived there but I do know people, whose family or friends life was taken and now marks a sad, day in history where the unthinkable happened.Ā

My heart goes out to those who lost more than 1 family member, but 2-4 members all gone... only God knows why he chose to take them all the way he did and pray that we never have to watch, see, read or experience anything like this again.Ā

I canāt believe itās 17yrs since Damilola was killed, to think what he would be doing today IF he was still alive! Ā My connection I feel with this young man is not only that we are of Nigeria heritage but the fact that he was starting a new life, in the area I was born and breed in #Peckham.
Plus heĀ attended the same Primary School that I went to back in the 80s which was Oliver Goldsmith Primary School and lived on the same estate that I did. North-Peckham Estate.
Its all so crazy and breaks my heart što this day. Ā May he rest in piece forever and always. #RIP
